• USER: Select "User" to create your profile if you are the one looking for a partner for yourself.
• GUARDIAN: Select "Guardian" if you are helping your child, friend or someone else as a "wali" to help look for a partner.  

Yes, selfie verification is required to protect privacy of all users and authenticate every account. 

• Step 1: Ensure that the lighting is sufficient but not too harsh. Natural light is best, but if indoors, make sure the light is facing you, not behind.
• Step 2: Position your device at eye level and look directly into the camera lens. Your face should be centered in the frame, with no filters or effects applied.
• Step 3: Before taking the selfie, check your surroundings to make sure no other people are in the frame.

• Step 1: Open the app and click on the icon you want to sign up with Facebook, Apple Id, Google etc 
• Step 2: Enter password for the email or account
• Step 3: You will be redirected to the profile selection page.

• Step 1: Make sure you entered the correct email.

• Step 3: Check your spam folder.

Step 1: Check that you are the only person in the main profile photo. Photos with multiple people are not suitable for profile pictures as they can confuse which individual is the user.

Step 2: Ensure that the photo is of good quality, with your face clearly visible. Avoid any blurriness or low resolution.

Step 3: Review the content of your photo to ensure there is nothing inappropriate. The photo should adhere to our community guidelines, which include no offensive or explicit material.

Yes, you can upload a total of 5 photos. You 1st photo can only be a clear photo of yourself. All other 4 photos can be with other people, of nature or your pets etc. 

Including personal details such as your ethnicity, religious background, and career in your profile is encouraged on our platform. This information helps to ensure more accurate and meaningful matches. Sharing these aspects of your identity allows potential matches to get to know you better right from the start, increasing your chances of connecting with someone who truly shares your values and interests.

A guardian (wali) is someone who acts in the best interests of someone under their care, particularly in contexts involving significant life decisions such as marriage. The concept of a guardian emphasizes support, guidance, and ensuring that the rights and well-being of the individual are upheld, especially in matrimonial matters.

A guardian account allows a trusted family member or guardian (Wali) to participate in the matchmaking process on alongside the main user. This feature is significant because the guardian helps maintain 100% Halal communication. It is also important because family approval is an important aspect of the marriage process.

• Step 1: Confirm Active Account: Ensure that there is a primary user of Mubarik who is actively looking for a partner.
• Step 2: Access Guardian Accounts Page: The primary user should navigate to the guardian accounts page within the app.
• Step 3: Share Invitation Code: Copy the provided code and send it to your chosen guardian.
• Step 4: Guardian Enters Code: The guardian must also visit the guardian accounts page and enter the received code in the designated input box.
• Step 5: Complete Linking: Once the code is entered, the accounts will be linked, and the guardian can start suggesting profiles to the primary user.

• Step 1: Make sure the guardian account is linked with a primary user account. 
• Step 2: Start swiping! As a guardian starts swiping on profile cards, all the people they find fit for their linked user will automatically get suggested to them. 
• Step 3: All the people the guardian passes will not be suggested to the user. 

Yes! Once your guardian account is linked. Your linked guardian will be able to see the profiles you have liked. They have a feature where they can approve or disapprove of the profiles you have liked. You will be able to see your guardians decision on your account. 

No, the linked guardian does not see the profiles you have passed. 

• Step 1: Make sure the guardian account is linked with a primary user account. 
• Step 2: Start swiping! As a guardian starts swiping on profile cards, all the people they find fit for their primary user will automatically get suggested to them. 
• Step 3: Now the user can accept of reject their guardian's suggestion. 

• Step 1: Go to the guardian suggestions page.
• Step 2: Click and open the user's profile.  
• Step 3: Now accept or reject their suggestion. 

Yes! Once your guardian account is linked. Your linked guardian will be able to see the profiles you have liked. They can then approve or disapprove of the profiles you have liked. You will be able to see your guardians decision on your account. 

No, the linked guardian does not see the profiles you have passed. 

• Step 1: Make sure the guardian account is linked with a primary user account. 
• Step 2: As a guardian starts swiping on profile cards, all the people they find fit for their linked user will automatically get suggested to them. 
• Step 3: Once these profiles are in the user's "Guardian Suggestions" page they can choose to accept or reject those suggestions. 

• Step 1: User will start swiping on the profiles. All the profiles liked by the user will be sent to the guardians account.  
• Step 2: Guardian can see those profiles in the "Linked User Liked" page. 
• Step 3: Click on the profiles liked by the user and then approve or disapprove of the profile. 

Two users have to like each others profile for a match.

You you can unmatch a user whenever you like. 

• Step 1: Go to inbox
• Step 2: Click on the chat of the user you want to unmatch with.
• Step 3: Click on the broken heart icon to unmatch.  

• Swiping right means you "LIKE" a users profile. 
• Swiping left means you "DISLIKE" a users profile. 

To send an instant chat: 

• Step 1: Click on the pink ribbon heart icon on the bottom of the swipe cards. 
• Step 2: A pop up will come up, just type your message. 
• Step 3: Click "Send". 

Yes, you can go to the profiles you "passed" page and relike the user. 

Yes, as soon as you accept an instant chat invite you will match with that user. 

If the suggested user has already liked you, you will match right away. However if that user has not liked you yet, they will get added to your "Liked by you" page. 

Yes you can still like that user if you initially rejected them. Their profile will get added to profiles you "passed" page. 

This feature uses AI technology to monitor user interactions, ensuring they adhere to community guidelines and maintain a respectful and safe environment. The AI moderator can detect and act on inappropriate content, manage disputes, and provide real-time assistance, enhancing user experience by maintaining a high standard of conduct on the platform.

To delete your Mubarik account:

1. Open the Mubarik app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select the Account dropdown.
4. Choose "Deactivate Account" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Yes! You can completely block a user from seeing your profile and messaging you. 

• Step 1: Go to the users profile you want to block.
• Step 2: Scroll down all the way to the end. 
• Step 3: click on the pink "block" icon on the bottom right. 

Yes! You can report any unethical or inappropriate behaviour that does not adhere to our community guidelines and Mubarik team will look into the issue. 

• Step 1: Go to the users profile you want to report.
• Step 2: Scroll down all the way to the end. 
• Step 3: click on the black "report" icon on the bottom right. 
• Step 4: Select an option of what you want to report and submit it. 

Yes! You can blur your pictures on the app and only the users you like first will be able to see your photos. 

• Step 1: Go to your "settings" page.
• Step 2: Click on privacy drop down menu.
• Step 3: Turn on the blur photos toggle.
